Senator Panfilo Lacson Backs Out For 2010 Presidential Election
The 2010 Presidential election is fast approaching. Today, Senator Panfilo Lacson declared that he will not be running as President in the upcoming Presidential elections next year during his interview with ABS-CBN news. He was expected to be one of the 2010 Presidentiables and PulseAsia noted that his rating has just went down to only 9% up to this month.
Senator Lacson stated that the main reason why he backed down on his aspiration to run as the Philippine President is due to lack of funds. He further said that because of the crisis, it is hard for him to generate the funds he needed to support his Presidential campaign in the upcoming 2010 Presidential elections. He only hopes for financial support from his friends and supporters and he said that he does not have enough budget for his election campaign.
He added that his declaration not to run for 2010 Presidential election does not have anything to do with the on-going Dacer-Corbito case.
